Medical Alert systems for home use prove most effective when falling and fear of falling cause
you or your loved one to loose confidence in their ability to cope on their own.
Nobody should suffer needlessly. Family members move away from loved ones but
long for the comfort of an immediate connection. A medical alarm allows you and
your loved ones to maintain some independence with protection in case of an
accident.
Medical alarms generally consists of a simple electronic transmitter in the form
of a pendant worn around the neck or wrist. Make sure the medical alarm you
purchase is 100% waterproof so that it can be worn in the bath or shower. If you
fall, and press a button on the medical alert, a signal is generally transmitted
to a monitoring station and/or perhaps activates a speakerphone inside your
home. You describe the problem and appropriate action can be taken. If you
cannot speak, your medical alarm should automatically call an emergency service.
If you have a garden, buy a medical alarm that can be activated from up to 300ft
(or however big your garden is) so that if you fall outside, you can get help. |
