Medical alarm system fixed transmitter
Medical alarm systems usually have a fixed receiver in a prominent position. They are activated by fixed position transmitters, for example cords and push buttons, within the user's home. These alarms sound a bell or buzzer, and/or a flashing or non-flashing lights. Wear medical alert jewelry so that prompt medical treatment can be obtained on first alert. From the young to the elderly, from the sick to the healthy, everyone at one time or another faces a situation where their life literally depends on speedy action. Multiple transmitters can be placed at strategic positions in the house. Systems that, once activated, automatically release the door lock will enable a helper to enter the house. Advantages: cheap to install. Disadvantages: user must be within reach of the pull-cord or button; caregive must be within hearing/visual distance of the receiver. |
