Medical alarm system fall alarms
Medical alarm system fall alarms are a system comprising a portable transmitter that is
activated when the user falls beyond 20 degrees from horizontal and lies prone
or supine for eight seconds, will alert a caregiver in a number of ways.
Either a signal is sent to a portable pager or an autodial alarm telephone is
triggered.
Movement monitors
These are primarily used at night time to alert the caregiver to a
epileptic seizure. Sensors detect movement or monitor vital signs and will
automatically trigger an alarm if things are not as they should be.
